Our NYC music teachers are inspired, talented, and focused on helping students learn.

Our music teachers come to your home and are some of New York City’s most talented, educated, and inspiring instructors. 

• Our music teachers are graduates of the top schools such as Berklee College of Music, Manhattan School of Music, The Juilliard School, NYU Steinhardt Jazz program, and Columbia University music program.
• Each of our music teachers has several years of experience and believes learning music should happen in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
• Upon request, we send an in-home music teacher to give instruction in a foreign language: Spanish, French, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Portuguese, Hebrew, German, Flemish, Russian and Dutch.
• Most of our instructors are multi-instrumentalists — they can teach several instruments to a family or a small group. Want to learn to sing and play the guitar? Our instructors can teach both.
• Our music instructors are experienced in teaching children of all ages (including special needs and/or musically gifted kids), as well as adults of different proficiency levels. In each case, they create a personalized lesson plan that meets individual needs.
• Our music instructors not only teach to play an instrument or give vocal lessons but also awaken joy and creativity, which, in turn, will motivate their students to keep learning.

Hey Joe Guitar’s instructors are a diverse group of the most talented and inspiring musicians and singers in New York City.  Our music teachers include but are not limited to guitarists, singers, pianists, bass guitarists, violinists, and drummers.  All of our music teachers share a passion for teaching and pass their enthusiasm for music and singing on to their students. They are some of the most innovative and exciting instructors you’ll ever meet – exactly the kind of well-educated and experienced people you want teaching you, your family, and your friends.
