Before a formal introduction to Symphony No. 9 by Beethoven, one might hear an expression of joy and gratitude toward life within the composition. I’m here to nurture this capacity to approach music from a place of instinct and feeling. I aim to help you learn your favorite songs and can also help you compose your own music in pursuit of your own musical identity. I went to Berklee College of Music and graduated in 2020. I’m excited to share with you what I learned in my Berklee experience.
I seek to understand my student’s needs and goals. I’m a patient, and flexible teacher, with a profound respect for music, and as such, I want to make sure that my students get familiar with all the basic fundamentals in order to be as independent as possible. This independence will allow them to be solid when they want to learn something on their own. During my lessons, it’s important to practice reading and ear training rather than simply putting hands on the instrument.
I first started giving guitar lessons when I was 15 years old, working with one of my school peers through private lessons. Most recently, I’ve branched into teaching Music Technology as well.
My artistic passion; is being able to do what I love to do as a guitar player and audio engineer. Within these pursuits, I have received academic and professional accolades.
That I’m a patient and practiced listener, capable of clear and constructive communication when explaining concepts.
I’ve traveled through 25 different countries, and so far, my trip to Rio Dulce in Guatemala was one of the most beautiful experiences. I found a very genuine and positive atmosphere and came away with the feeling that most of its people enjoy life with the simplest elements.
Fluent in English and Spanish. Native fluency in Italian.
I performed on stage with Steve Vai, someone whom I consider one of the best guitar players in the world. I was first introduced to Ste Vai’s music when I was 12 and had the chance to perform with him at 23. Given a chance to perform with someone new, I would love to play a song with Billie Eilish.
When not found at my neighborhood gym, I can also be found scouting nearby parks – typically trying to climb as many trees as I might find.
“Three or Four Shades of Blue” by Charles Mingus. Artists that have recently held my attention include Massive Attack, Portishead, Allan Holdsworth, Snarky Puppy, and Stevie Wonder.
